I have been a passionate competitive rider all my life. I love to ride and I love watching the best. My love was eventing which obviously included dreassage and showjumping. I watched my mentors and could see they had natural talent. They where great riders as well as looked great. I wanted to be one of them.

Annette WillsonI went to uni and completed my Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1987 and my Masters of Physiotherapy in 2002 in addition to completing a certificate in acupuncture.

A special interest in posture assessment and posture training is what inspired me to train myself to be a better rider. I applied my knowledge with the instruction I received to develop the program.

APPLIED POSTURE RIDING

I grew up in Clare, South Australia, always had a pony and rode from as early as I can remember. A very common story. Pony club provided a sound base for training and competing. I won 5 state championships in eventing, both individual and as a team member as well as dressage championships. I achieved my "A" certificate at the age of 21. I went on to successfully compete to the Advanced (3 star level) level in eventing, and was selected for the Olympic Athlete Program for eventing in South Australia in the mid 1990's. Various circumstances plus a back injury caused me to semi retire from high level competition. I currently train and sell competition horses for dressage and jumping. As of 2005 I train racehorses.

I have been teaching APPLIED POSTURE RIDING for a number of years with great success. Riders commonly said 'This has never been taught before and should be'. A pupil suggested I write it down, so I did, and the book was done. I believe the balls are an excellent tool to train posture muscles and to simulate the riding posture. I haven't seen any other gym equipment do the same. Good posture needs to be trained and this is the basis of the information in APPLIED POSTURE RIDING. I guarantee you will love it.

Cheers - Annette Willson
